Bright Futures initially began as ASW2 and was the first of its kind and remains the UK's only fully online school for A-level qualifications. We are one of the very few organisations which offer online A-levels in science.
In 1998, Southbank International School, a successful ISC accredited and ECIS member independent school in London began an ambitious project to explore the uses of online learning. Over the next two years we gained intensive first hand experience and by late 1999 we had gained sufficient experience to create an online school and pioneer new ways of learning and teaching.
We hand picked highly experienced teachers to develop innovative online learning materials and our resources remain the most comprehensive available today.
In January 2003 we officially opened the virtual doors to our pioneering online school and we now offer nine A-level subjects. We are committed to using rapidly developing web technologies to pioneer new and innovative teaching and learning strategies to benefit our students.
National press articles about our student’s home study successes have appeared in The Daily Telegraph and The Independent. We have also had stories printed in many local papers, Prima Magazine and specialist magazines for the Armed Forces.
