Studying the literature itself is really a process of having a good read, and using the resources available through Bright Futures to help you to interpret the text you are currently studying. Then to place it in some sort of historical and social context - and using the tutor to try your ideas out on, submit practice essays too for feedback, and to discuss the material that you come across.
Each year set texts are provided by the exam board for study, these will be discussed at your enrolment.
